You are going to create a Fact Card about one of the fifty United States.



First, you must Pick Your State from KidSpace @ The Internet Library!

Then you are to gather information about your state.
Fill in this worksheet.

Finally, you are to create a State Fact Card,
using Microsoft Publisher and this template.


On the front of your card you are to include at least the following:
  • The name of your state
  • A map of the United States with your state highlighted
  • The state motto
  • The state flag
  • Created by "Your Name" in smaller font at the bottom
    		•

    On the back of your card you are to include at least the following:

  • State Capitol
  • State Bird
  • State Flower
  • State Song
  • When it entered the Union, in what order (example: 22nd)
  • Major Industries
  • Major Points of Interest
  • A pretty picture of something famous in the state and caption
    		•
