1. Choose one of the four presidents on Mount Rushmore to research. You want to discover why you think Gutzon Borglum included him in his sculpture. Fill in the worksheet about the president you choose using information you find here.
2. Pretend that you were asked to add another American hero to Mount Rushmore. Whom would you choose? It can be someone that had a large part in our nation's history, or a person that you consider to be a hero. It doesn't have to be someone famous. Fill in the worksheet explaining your choice.
3. Using KidPix Deluxe 3, draw a picture of the head of your American hero using this template. Using a text box, briefly type in the person's name, and a short sentence explaining why he/she is a hero. Print out your picture in color.
