Girl Scout Activities

1.
Let's visit the Girl Scout Website. In the search box at the top, insert the word "pledge" and click Go. Click on the first option, "Girls Only: Internet Safety Pledge. Let's read it together and discuss what it means. I've printed out a copy for each of you to sign, bring home to share with your family, and keep.
2.
Let's send a Thank You card to our oversea troops that are helping others have the same freedoms that we enjoy. There is a special website, "Let's Say Thanks" that can help us do this. Once you are on that site, choose the card that you like. Follow directions to choose a message. Add your first name, and our town, Freehold, then send it!
3.
Let's talk a little about computers. How do people use computers at work? How do we use them at home? Shopping online is very popular. Why do you think this is true? What do you have to think about before you buy things online? What are chat rooms and instant messages? What are some things you have to know before you use them?
4.
Let's explore Kids Yahoo! Click at the top where it has a link to "Study Zone." Spend a few minutes checking out all they have to offer. When you are finished, use the Back Arrow at the top of your window to return to the home page. Scroll down a little until you see their newest games. Have some fun and try them out!

I hope you had a lot of fun today, and learned new things.
