Amazon Rainforest Animals

More than one third of all animal species in the world live in the Amazon Rainforest.
Let's learn about some of these animals!

Choose two of the animals below.
Click on their pictures to learn some facts about each one.
Take notes!
Now it's time to get creative. This is the best part!

You are to make up a new Amazon Rainforest animal.

You are going to combine your two animals into one animal.
Your new animal must be a mix of the two rainforest animals.

You can use this Basic Facts sheet to help you.

After you decide on your new creative animal, you must do the following:

You must give your new animal a name that is made up of parts of the name of each animal you chose.
You must write a paragraph describing your new animal, combining some of the characteristics of each of the Amazon Rainforest animals that you picked. Use this worksheet to help organize your ideas.
You must draw a picture of your new animal using KidPix, and add a textbox to write your paragraph description. Practice sketching your new animal on paper before you try to draw it with KidPix.
